Descrizione
These unpolished single crystal sapphire rods are made from 99.999% high-purity Al₂O₃, offering excellent mechanical strength, thermal stability, and chemical resistance. Produced using Kyropoulos (KY) or Pulling-Down (PD) methods, these rods maintain high dimensional precision and structural integrity even under extreme conditions.
The fine-ground (as-grown) surface ensures minimal processing while providing strong support for semiconductor wafers, optical components, laser systems, and high-temperature experiments. Their broad UV–IR transparency, high hardness, and resistance to wear and corrosion make them ideal for advanced research, industrial, and electronic applications.
Available in custom diameters, lengths, and crystal orientations to meet specialized engineering and scientific needs.

FAQ
1. Are unpolished sapphire rods suitable for high-precision applications?
Yes. While unpolished, the fine-ground surface ensures dimensional accuracy and structural stability for wafers, optics, and high-temperature experiments.
2. Can these rods withstand high temperatures?
Absolutely. Sapphire rods resist temperatures up to 2000°C, maintaining mechanical integrity and low thermal expansion.
3. Can the rods be customized?
Yes. We offer a wide range of diameters, lengths, crystal orientations, and special end shapes to meet industrial, optical, and research requirements.
